What is Reiki?

The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words "Rei", which means "God's Wisdom" or "The Higher Power" and "Ki" which is "life force energy". So Reiki is really "spiritually guided life force energy".

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is a simple, safe and natural method of spiritual healing and self improvement that everyone can use. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and malady and always creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.

What is a Treatment Like?

A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and well-being. Many have reported miraculous results.

In a quiet, peaceful atmosphere, you will lie fully clothed on a massage table. I will open our session with a short prayer to connect to the divine energy, and will proceed to lay my hands gently over your body's energy centers.

Rates: I offer rates on a sliding scale from $60 to $75 per session.

Sessions: Sessions are normally booked for 1 hour. At your first visit you will be asked to fill out an intake form which will help me in working with you. We will spend a few minutes assessing your goals for the healing session before we begin, and time on the table is usually about 45 minutes with a short period built in at the end of your session to re-acclimate.

A cancellation notice of 24 hours is required. Any cancellations without proper notice will be responsible for full session fee.

What is Light Body Healing?

We all possess a luminous energy field that surrounds our physical body and holds the blueprint for our physical and emotional health.

Light Body Healing addresses imbalance and dis-ease at the source - at the place it manifests in the luminous energy field. By working at this core energetic level, we are able to remove imprints for dis-ease before they manifest at the physical level. In the case of dis-ease which has already manifested physically, light body healing assists and accelerates the healing process.

In this gentle modality the healer will assist you in releasing any imbalances, re-balance your chakras (energy centers) and bring healing light and energies to the areas of imbalance or dis-ease.

This is a very powerful technique. Miracles happen within this safe sweet space and clients frequently progress even further than they had imagined.

To Request a Distant Healing

If you would like to receive a distant Reiki treatment, please contact Nancy at Request Distant Healing. She will send distant Reiki treatments twice a week to those whose names are sent to her. Your name will remain on the list for 2 weeks. If you feel you need further healing, please resubmit your name via email when the 2 weeks are over. Please include your name, reply email address, the date the distant healing should begin and a description of the condition you are requesting treatment for.

I began working with Reiki in the year 2000. I have been interested in the subject of energy healing for many years and have worked with a form of distant healing for some time. In 2001 I began my initiation into Incan shamanism. Healing of the Light body is one of the main components of this tradition which also includes soul retrieval and extraction processes.
